Breast sagging may occur due to aging-related loosening of supportive ligaments, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or significant weight gain and loss. This condition can affect breast shape and firmness regardless of breast volume.
Some women may naturally have small breasts, or experience a loss of breast volume due to factors such as weight loss, breastfeeding, or aging. Based on personal expectations, aesthetic concerns, and social factors, breast augmentation surgery may be requested.
Today, the most effective and long-lasting method for breast augmentation is the use of silicone implants. In selected patients, breast augmentation with fat grafting is also an option.
Breast reduction surgery is performed for both aesthetic and medical reasons. Excessively large breasts may cause neck, shoulder, and back pain, postural problems, spinal strain, skin irritation or rashes beneath the breasts, and limitations in daily activities. Many patients also experience difficulty with clothing choices and may develop social or psychological discomfort.
Gynecomastia is the enlargement of male breast tissue, resulting in a female-like breast appearance. It may be caused by hormonal imbalances, certain medications, liver diseases, excessive alcohol consumption, or obesity. In some cases, gynecomastia can be congenital. If an underlying cause is identified, it is treated first, followed by surgical correction if necessary.
A tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed for patients who experience loose skin, sagging, and weakness of the abdominal muscles. It is particularly suitable for individuals who have difficulty achieving a flat abdomen despite diet and exercise, most commonly after pregnancy or significant weight loss.
Aging is a natural process for all living beings, and its most visible effects appear on the face and neck. Over time, changes such as:
• Under-eye bags
• Sagging of the cheeks and jawline
• Loosening of the neck skin
• Deepening of the nasolabial folds
• Loss of subcutaneous fat
In adults, the number of fat cells does not increase; however, the size of existing fat cells can enlarge. Liposuction is a surgical procedure that permanently removes localized fat deposits from the body using special cannulas.
The skin of the upper arms, particularly the inner area between the elbow and the armpit, tends to lose elasticity and sag with aging. This condition becomes more pronounced in individuals who have experienced significant weight loss, repeated weight fluctuations, or insufficient muscle tone in the arms.
The inner thigh area is one of the regions most prone to early sagging due to aging and the effects of gravity, largely because of its soft tissue structure. Skin laxity and sagging in this area may become more pronounced over time or following significant weight loss.
Surgical procedures, burns, and traumatic injuries may result in permanent and noticeable scars on the skin. In some cases, scars do not only cause aesthetic concerns but may also lead to functional limitations, particularly when located near joints and affecting movement.
Prominent ears are a congenital condition that can have a significant psychosocial impact, particularly during childhood and adolescence. The most common causes include:
• Insufficient development of the antihelical fold
• An increased angle between the ear and the head, causing the ear to protrude forward
With aging, the eyebrows and upper and lower eyelids may develop skin laxity, sagging, wrinkles, and prominent fat pads. These changes can create a tired, sad, or aged appearance. In some cases, excessive drooping of the upper eyelids may even impair the visual field and cause functional problems.
With aging, loss of facial volume becomes more noticeable. Changes such as:
• Hollowing of the cheeks
• Deepening of the nasolabial folds
• Sunken appearance around the eyes
• Loss of fullness in the cheekbones
The most common aesthetic concerns related to the female genital area include elongation or asymmetry of the labia minora and vaginal laxity or widening. These conditions may cause both cosmetic dissatisfaction and functional discomfort.
